Anita Janis is a lifelong educator and rural workforce leader running for the Idaho House of Representatives in District 26, Seat A. She spent 14 years teaching English and adult education, helping working adults and first-generation students develop skills for stable careers. For nearly 15 years as a college dean, Anita managed workforce training programs, oversaw budgets, secured grant funding, and partnered with employers to create career pathways that meet local workforce needs.

A Jerome resident, Anita understands the diverse communities and economies of District 26, from agriculture in Jerome and Lincoln counties to tourism in Blaine County. She believes effective representation requires understanding how decisions in Boise affect rural communities, working families, and local businesses. Anita’s priorities include strengthening public education and workforce development, protecting rural healthcare, supporting agriculture and small businesses, responsibly managing water and infrastructure, preserving access to Idaho’s public lands, and ensuring responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars.
