Throughout my career, I have connected education to real jobs and advocated for rural Idaho. I am committed to supporting working families, protecting public lands, and ensuring every community has the resources to thrive.
Top Issues
STRONG SCHOOLS & WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
For nearly 30 years, I have worked in education and workforce development, helping students gain job-ready skills and collaborating with employers to address workforce needs. I will support stable public school funding and expand career and technical pathways in agriculture, healthcare, trades, small businesses, and recreation. My experience with public school funding formulas will help address the shortcomings of Idaho’s current system.
RURAL HEALTHCARE
Access to healthcare should not depend on where you live. I will work to protect rural hospitals, clinics, Medicaid, mental health services, and other essential healthcare resources for families and communities in District 26.
AGRICULTURE, TOURISM & SMALL BUSINESS
Agriculture and tourism are vital to District 26's economy. Farmers and ranchers face rising costs, workforce shortages, and water uncertainty, while tourism communities struggle with housing, transportation, and workforce needs. I will support responsible investments in infrastructure, land and water resources, and the local workforce to help farms and small businesses succeed.
PRESERVING PUBLIC LANDS & ACCESS
Idaho's public lands are central to our heritage and rural economy. They support agriculture, hunting, fishing, recreation, tourism, and small businesses. I will work to protect public access, manage natural resources responsibly, and preserve these lands for future generations.
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY & TRANSPARENCY
As a college dean, I managed budgets and secured grant funding to ensure limited resources met community and workforce needs. I will bring this practical approach to the Legislature by setting clear priorities, demanding accountability, and using taxpayer dollars responsibly.
